INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CHILDREN AT RISK AND IN NEED OF PROTECTION (ISCRIP)

The “April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day” demonstrates the importance we attribute to our children, to whom the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, has bequeathed our future. It is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm in Turkey together with all the children of the world.

Within the framework of these celebrations, it is important to address the problems of all the children of the world on a common platform and produce solution-oriented, implementable new approaches and strategies for children at risk.

Believing in the necessity to ensure that our children, who will shape the future of our world, grow up to see happier tomorrows, the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly has agreed to organize a major initiative in the field, International Symposium on Children at Risk and in Need of Protection, under its own auspices.

I strongly believe that transforming this symposium into a traditional event with the participation of representatives from implementing agencies and academics at international level will make it possible to formulate effective solutions for children’s changing problems.

It is my sincere wish that the first meeting of this event, which will be staged in our country, will fulfil its purpose and achieve the expected outcomes.
